The humble bowl of soup is overloaded with mutton or beef according what you order and you wouldn’t find any gamey taste of raw meat. Robust, thick and giving off a slightly herbal smell, the soup will definitely exceed your expectations.

Asam Pedas Pak Yahya

The ultimate asam pedas in this medan is Pak Yahya’s. Like a boss (literally), he opens shop at 11am and closes when he runs out. The man runs his stall for only three hours a day and if you miss that time slot, well, that’s too bad. Come back tomorrow.

His asam pedas alone is worth the drive down to Parit Jawa, even for a few hours.
